The name Barangay Casiber, located between Calungboyan and Rancho, was derived form the names of a couple Casimiro and Bernardina, who, because of their good qualities, were respected by the people and those of the neighboring communities. After death, the people decided to keep their memory by naming their purok “Casiber,” formed by combining the first two syllables of the husband’s name and the first syllable of the wife’s name.
