The northeastern section of the Poblacion is Magsaysay District or Barangay. Named after the late President Ramon Magsaysay, it is bounded on the north by San Roque Street, on the west by Rizal Street, and extends to and beyond the national highway on the east and on the southeast. Magsaysay District was established after World War II, by migration of some people from the eroded and washed away barrios of Catongtonglan, Patocanay and other sitios.
