he Municipality of Galimuyod perched on the western foothills of the Gran Cordillera approximately between 17’10” and 17’12” latitude and between 120’27” and 120’34” longitude, it is located around three hundred and forty (340) kilometers north of.Manila.  The municipalities of Candon and Banayoyo bound on the north.  At the east are the municipalities are the municipalities of San Emilio and Salcedo, whose latter’s center is approximately twelve (12) kilometers from Galimuyod.  The lands of Salcedo also curve down the south boundaries of the municipality while the southern areas of Candon embrace its western borders.  Galimuyod, thus, straddles the national highway from Candon to Salcedo and is physically integrated to these places by concrete and/or asphalted roads.  Strategically, it commands a commercial transshipment junction between Candon and the more interior municipalities all the way to Cervantes and thence to Bontoc.
