town of Lidlidda is situated within the Northern
Upland Municipalities of the Province of Ilocos Sur.
There are eleven (11) Barangays that composed the
town. It is bounded by Burgos of the North, on the
East of San Emilio, on the west of Santiago and
Banayoyo and on the South Candon all Municipalities
of Ilocos Sur. The town is approximately seventy
three (73) kilometers south of Vigan, the capital of
the province. It is within the geographical
coordinates 0f 16-18 degrees longitude. The total
land area is 3,468 hectares.
The tow has forest resources like timber, cogon,
bamboo, etc. the principal river is the San Emilio-
Lidlidda River going down to Burgos and Sta. Maria.
Lidlidda is under the first type of rainfall, distinct
dry and wet season, generally wet from May to October,
dry during the rest of the year. Typhoons rarely
visit. The municipality as it is shielded by mountain
ranges East, North, West and South borders. Typhoons
generally occur during the months of July to
September.
The Municipality has an average monthly relative
humidity of 13 mm. The average temperature experienced
by the municipality is 23.0c C with January as the
coolest month and the average temperature is 33.40 C
with May as the warmest month.
