The
newly constructed
Municipal Hall
occupying 816 sq.m. floor area is located at the
center of the Poblacion. It is one of the largest
Municipal Hall in the province of Ilocos Sur. Local
materials are dominant fixtures of the building.
Tables, chairs, doors and other fixtures are made of
Narra and other hard wood available at the locality.


In front of the
Municipal Hall lies a one hectare
Town Plaza
complete with landscape materials and resting shades.
The place is frequented by promenades at night. It is
installed with moonlights amidst the towering
gemelinas, and the children’s park is always full of

Stretching at the midsection of the municipality with
more or less ten kilometers of raging and rolling
water during rainy seasons is the
Buaya River.
The furiosity of the water during rainy days, is
unpredictable but the serene deep blue waters during
summer is both soothing to the eye and the soul.

The
Baluarte Falls
– the place is accessible by light transportation
vehicles and her beauty is best seen during the last
quarter of the year. Passing through rainforest,
visitors are greeted with cool mist and showers.
Adventurist may also scale the top of the falls
through a steep pathway constructed for this purpose.
Being manned 24 hours by Baluarte Barangay Tanods,
these tourist guards says: Conquer your fears, let
your spirits soar, have your souls reinvigorated and
feel nature at its best.




If
you enjoy mountaineering and can trek four kilometers
of challenging and enduring path, there is more than
meet the eyes as you be amazed and wonder the beauty
of
Dinaratan and Lucbuban Waterfalls.
These heavenly creations were hidden in thick
vegetations and rain forests. It requires an
adventurous spirit to discover these treasures.
Natural wonders abound and these enchanting paradise
in the wilderness are sights to behold.
