Architectural Design and was renovated in 2002 under
the administration of Mayor Teresita C. Valle.
Gen. Antonio Luna
– the monument was built in 1934 during the incumbency
of Municipal President Manuel Jose and in honor of
Governor Alejandro Quirolgico.
Children’s and
People’s Park – constructed only last year (2002),
to serve as playing ground for children who frequent
the area. People from far barangays stay in this place
whenever there’s an occasion in the municipality. A
man-made falls was also built within, while flowering
plants were planted to add beauty to the park.

A canteen was built
within the vicinity of the park for visitors to have a
place to take their snacks/lunch. They serve various
menu daily. The place is named “PARKS CAFÉ”
A skating ring was also
constructed for children and teens to spend their free
hours.
Markers were constructed inside the park to remember
the bravery/ galantry of the veterans of World War II.
Municipal Building
Built during the pre-war, this serves as residence of
the Municipal President. Due to the long period of
time, this war partially destroyed and the
predecessors of the incumbent mayor had this
renovated.
This
tourist attraction are all located in the
vicinity/compound of the LGU.
Century old Roman Catholic Church located near
the municipal
building.
Kagutungan Falls
This
is located at the eastern part of Barangay Daligan and
is more or less one (1) kilometer from the barangay
proper. Said barangay is 5 km. from the national
highway with some portions of the road concreted and
graveled respectively. The site, from the barangay
proper, is inaccessible by any means of
transportation, only by foot. A trail is the only way
to reach the place. Near the falls is a spring where
residents get their supply of water for their daily
needs.
The
pond of Kagutungan Falls, as it is called, cover an
area of approximately one hundred (100) square meters
wide. The falling water has a height of almost four
(4) times that of an average person and the depth of
the “Ban-aw Lawa” (pond) as called by residents is
also approximated to be three (3) meters. It can be
noted that the falls is not a man-made one.
The
“Ban-aw Lawa” is the deepest among the “Ban-aws” in
Daligan.
The
Kagutungan Falls water dost not recede of the volume
of water remains the same and continuously flowing
even during summer.
Perhaps, one may appreciate the beauty of the place
because of its crystal-like water and due to the
presence of shade trees in which one can feel the
freshness of the surroundings.
Concreting of some portions of the road from the
national highway to Daligan and improving that in
going to the site of the falls will attract some local
tourists and perhaps foreigner to visit us, thus, it
will become one of the local attractions of the
municipality of Santa Cruz.
