LOCAL Administrative Personnel/Staff

There are 1,359 provincial government officials and employees as of December 2001.  This number includes 15 elective officials, 16 department heads, 939 permanent employees and 372 consultants/contractual employees.  These personnel are assigned in the different departments of the provincial government.  Below is the breakdown of officials/employees by office.

Salary grade ranges from Grade I to 22 for rank and file employees.  Assistant department heads have salary grade 24 while provincial government department heads are within salary grade 26.

Government Support  Organizations

There are several government support organizations operating at the barangay level in all of the municipalities of the province.  These organizations include Polisya ng Barangay, Lupong Tagapamayapa, Barangay Disaster Coordinating Council, Barangay Development Council, Sangguniang Kabataan, and Fire Brigade.  All of these organizations are partners of the government in the implementation of development programs and projects.

As of April 2001, there are 291,148 voters registered in 1,666 precincts in the province.
