Bolo-making
This industry commenced as early as the Spanish settlement in the country. The metal products are popularly known in the entire archipelago. Although these are cheap and crafted with quality, the bolos of Santa are exported as far as Hawaii, USA.

Loom Weaving (Abel Iluko)
Loam weaving is one of endless local industries in the locality using indigenous paraphernalia and materials. Like the blacksmith's products, the Abel is also exported for its quality & minimal price.

Basketry
This local industry generates self-employment to residents. Using indigenous tools & materials, bamboo-woven crafts are sold to nearby towns and provinces.

Broiler Chicken Production
Broiler chicken production is one of the livelihoods of Santanians. It is a good agri-venture considering of its promising and easy return of investment. Poultry products supply the demand in the locality and nearly towns.

Chicken Egg Production
Adoption of new innovations and technologies make this local industry as one of the most identified income-generating livelihoods. Sizes of eggs were classified into pewee (extra small) small, medium & large.

Duck Egg Production
The municipality is the first town of Ilocos Sur to indulge in this industry. Duck layers are housed along the river bank of Abra River, each duck lays one egg per day and it is sold in the market for popular delicacies like balut, penoy and red egg.

Hollow Block-making
A support program in utilizing the vast mineral deposits to its fullest in terms of income and employment, viability of a hollow blocks factory within the business center is favorable. This is a livelihood program where majority of the male populace is knowledgeable having a total of a registered manufacturers employing more or less 90 persons.

Quarrying
This is one project and resource not fully utilized by the LGU having vast mineral deposits (sand and gravel) particularly along the Abra River. This is one of the municipality’s resources which could not be utilized to its fullest benefits since it was opened by the DENR- Geomines Bureau of Region I as a quarry site, with very minimal income and employment opportunities.
Delicious table grapes abound in a lot of vineyards grown by industrious Santanians which started decades ago.
